Day 41 Lockdown - Wii Fit

Wii Fit

Welcome to part 2 of this wii series1 Today, I will tell you about a different game that you could play on the Nintendo Wii and stay fit and healthy. Enjoy!

In Wii fit, you require a balance board and at least 1 wii remote. There are many different game modes to play to help you get better at things like balance. There are 4 different types of exercise games: Balance, yoga, muscle workouts and aerobics. My favourite game mode is balance because there are so many fun things to do like walking a tightrope and doing headers in a row without missing. In aerobics, you can choose what to do between jogging, rhythm boxing where you punch along with a rhythm, hula hooping and step aerobics. In hula hooping, as you can tell, you have to make the hoop go around your body as many times as you can before the time is up. My record is 1857 in total. If you have a wii, can you beat that? In yoga, a body coach will take you through the steps to do a yoga move before you try it out yourself and in muscle workouts, you do the same but with more intense exercises. Here is a picture of a Wii fit game..

Day 40 Lockdown - Wii

The Way Wii Were: Growing Up With Nintendo's Gaming Phenomenon ...Wii

Welcome! Today, I will share with you the power of the Wii; a Nintendo created item to bring fun games and exercise inside. Let me tell you about Wii games...

On Wii resort, there are 12 different mini sports you can play - my favourite is table tennis - including frisbee dog. The most popular sport is sword fighting which is kind of like fencing. There are actually 3 different modes you can play which are: Duel, Speed slice, Showdown. In duel, you and another person will fight it out to push the other off the platform. In speed slice, one of two people will be the first to slice the object in the correct way and the first person to to reach 10 points wins overall. In showdown, you will have to take on a number of of computer bots of a variety of levels until you reach the end. There are 10 levels and then 10 bonus stages you can get after you complete the first 10 which get super hard. Next up is table tennis. You or/and one other person can participate in a match in which is first to 6 points unless the score gets to 5-5. Then you would carry on going until one person got 2 points ahead of the other. The other option of playing is a one player mode where you simply have to return as many valid shots as possible with the extra of cans that count as 3 shots. Moving on; basketball. In the first mode, you and/or one other person can play a match against one another on a time limit. There are many useful tips like if you dribble for long enough, you can score a slam dunk but only if you are in a fully blue area. The second game mod is a bit like the second table tennis one. One person tries to score as many hoops as possible but from different angles. Every 5th ball is a double ball meaning you get double points for that shot. Come back tomorrow to find out about Wii Fit!

Day 39 Lockdown - Planes

Paper Planes

Welcome to my blog from me, the creator, Lukeyonesockdays. Today will bring you a great idea: making paper planes! It may seem like a childish thing but trust me it is fun. I will tell you some simple instructions and show you some pictures for extra indication. Lets get flying!

Day 38 Lockdown - Agent Fox

Spyfox - THE LITERACY SHEDAgent Fox

Welcome back! Today, I will share with you my schoolwork about a short animation called Spy Fox that I was tasked to write about. Hope you Enjoy!

The happy little family of penguins laughed. The son of the family was about to take its first swim in the water. The parents hugged. the son slid down a perfectly made slide and created a large splash as he entered the freezing water. Little did he know that a millisecond after he submerged under the mini waves, a dangerous and evil laser shot from outer space, destroying his habitat, friends and family.

Over 3000 miles away on exotic island, the evil overlord Dr Hammerhead was chuckling to himself over what destruction he would soon create. In less than 1 hour, his giant laser would melt the polarized ice caps and flood the world. "Mwahahahaha!"Dr Hammerhead laughed. His minion sardines squeaked in chorus to his smiles.

Yet a further 100 miles away in the centre of London, a sweet date was being held between a cute couple; they finally had a free night to themselves. However, they had not expected to be interrupted by a loud voice coming from a watch. "Gotta' go Lily. I guess this date must be put on...paws!" Agent Fox exclaimed.
"B...b..but you promised you would stay!" Lily replied reaching towards Agent Fox but she was too late; Fox was already way out the door. Agent Fox immediately rushed to his spy car: an Aston Martin DB5. It had been styled in a slick matte black fashion and it had been expertly modified to fly with expert precision! Engineers at Bu9 really know how to liven things up a little! Fox flew all those 100 miles to Dr Hammerhead's secret lair - that wasn't actually that secret due to it's huge scale. Despite not having a runway or a clear path to land on, Agent Fox came to touchdown with perfect skill through the many palm trees that stood there.

As he grappled onto the top of the base, he spotted the perfect opportunity to get in; via the air vents. After simply silencing multiple henchmen, Agent Fox clambered into the vents. He took decisive lefts and rights, leading him directly to exact room Dr Hammerhead was chuckling in. Time was running out. Fox only had 4 minutes before the world would be hushed up. Kicking down the vent exit, Agent Fox whipped out his gun and yelled, "Dr Hammerhead! Your time is up!"
"You think so?" The evil overlord questions pressing multiple buttons at once. "Do you think I would give up this easily?"
"Of course not and that's why I brought this," Agent Fox replied.
"But did you expect this? Behold!" Dr Hammerhead boomed as he revealed none other than Fox's lover: Lily. Agent Fox gasped. He had 2 choices: save the world or save Lily. "Time's ticking!" Dr Hammerhead said in an unusually high pitched voice.
"Not on my watch!" Yelled Agent Fox, firing his suppressed Colt .49 inch pistol aiming for the rope over his lover's head. If this had not happened, Lily would have been crushed and mushed into a slop by a mechanical jaw with the most razor sharp teeth on the planet. "Time for business Foxy Lily called out.

Some intense fighting later, Agent Fox only had 40 seconds left before world destruction. "Which button do I press?!" asked Agent Fox, practically screaming at the hundreds of buttons that laid  before him.
"Err..the big red one that flashes you nincompoop!" Lily shouted in response. Fox slammed both his furry fists onto the button until a cool female voice sounded out: "Redirecting... aiming for Sardinian islands."
"The Sardinians! Yelled Lily. "That's where we are!"
"Indeed it is Lily; we must flee!" Agent Fox said.
"Don't leave me!" Dr Hammerhead croaked but no one heard him. Just as Agent Fox and Lily escaped, the giant laser beamed down and destroyed the islands, along with Dr Hammerhead.
The end

Day 36 Lockdown - Pie Day

Banoffee Pie Day

How to make banoffee pie recipe - BBC Food

Welcome to my blog everyone! Today, I will bring you a recipe that I myself tomorrow will be making for pudding. I'm going bananas over what the secret ingredient is!

  Ingredients:
  1. 75g or 3 oz unsalted butter
  2. 200g or 7 oz any type of sweet biscuit (preferably digestives)
  3. 150g or 5.5 oz soft brown sugar
  4. Another 150g or 5.5 oz unsalted butter
  5. 1 x 397g can condensed milk
  6. pinch of sea salt flakes
  7. 2 ripe bananas
  8. 150ml or 1/4 pint double or whipped cream
  9. 100g or 3.5 oz bar milk chocolate, grated (optional)
         Method:
Make the biscuit base first. Melt the butter in a medium-sized pan. Put the biscuits into a food bag and crush with a rolling pin until fine in a food processor.Tip the biscuit crumbs into the melted butter until evenly coated. Pour the mixture into the centre of a 23cm/ 9 inch loose-bottomed tart tin. Then press the mixture firmly over the bottom of the tin and up the sides. Move the base to the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes, until firm. While the base cools, make the caramel. Heat the brown sugar and butter together in a pan over a medium heat until the butter melts and the sugar has dissolved. At first the sugar and butter won’t mix, but keep stirring. As the sugar melts, it will come together.Take the set biscuit base out of the fridge and pour the caramel onto the biscuit base. Transfer to the fridge and leave to cool completely. When ready to serve, slice the bananas and layer them over the set caramel. Pour the cream into a large bowl, and whip with electric hand whisks until thickened but not stiff.Use a spoon to scoop the cream over the bananas.Grate the chocolate over the top of the pie (if chocolate is wanted).Remove the pie from the tart tin, by placing the tin on top of an upturned bowl, then sliding the edge of the tin down. Move the bowl out of the way, then slide the banoffee pie off the tin base and onto a board or plate. It’s now ready to serve up!And there you have it folks! There is a wonderful recipe that even I will try. I'm sure my Nanna would love to make it. Here you go Nanna! Thanks and bye!

Day 35 Lockdown - Fascinating Facts Friday!

Walter Yeo - WikipediaFascinating Facts

Friday!

Welcome to my blog! Today is a friday meaning that I will be telling you some awesome feats but this time from a different book. I hope you are disgusted!

Walter Yeo was one of the first people on earth to receive innovative skin graft surgery in 1917. The 27 year old sailor from the 1st world war sustained facial burn injuries, losing his upper and lower eyelids while in battle manning the guns aboard the HMS Warspite in 1916. A year later, Sir Harold Gillies performed the medical procedure, grafting a flap of skin across Walter's face and eyes like a mask, thereby giving him new eyelids. Walter's new kind of skin graft, called the 'tubed pedicle graft,' involved lifting a flap of skin and moving it to a new area, while keeping one end attached to the body and stitching part of it into a tube so that the original blood flow was kept intact. This reduced the infection rate, as antibiotics had not been invented yet. In Walter's case, his skin was moved from his chest to his face.

Documents show that Walter's condition improved, although he still had severe disfigurement. After further treatment at the Royal Naval Hospital in Plymouth in 1938, nothing else is known about him.

Day 34 Lockdown - Hobbit

The shot that killed Smaug (Bard and Bain) [Video] | The hobbit ...Hobbit Work

Welcome! Today, just like in the 9th and 25th and episodes of my daily blog, I will be  sharing with you my schoolwork. Today was about the Hobbit. I know lots of people enjoy these ones so here we go!

The people were calm. Nothing unusual was occuring. The clouds normally rumble, don't they? No. These clouds were far too loud for normal clouds; everyone knew something was wrong. A flash of lightning cut across the sky. A child began to cry while clutching the cutest of teddy bears in order to wipe away her fears away of the dragon that she had heard stories about. A great roar erupted from the clouds and many below knew not of what was going on. The few that did knew that this was going to be their patriotic end. Clouds across the sky that were filled with grey, showed a small burst of vibrant flame leaving the confused people below with a growing understanding over what was about to happen. Then, just as they had braced for, Smaug the legendary Fire-Drake from the North appeared, creating a descending ring of smog over Laketown.

Whole streets of Laketown were being engulfed in flames as Smaug lowered his great body just over the roofs of the city. Laketown civilians were now running and screaming for their lives, searching everywhere they could for shelter where possible. The cause of large waves thousands of years ago left Laketown isolated in the ocean over 50 miles away from the closest mainland. That all meant that there was no means of escape off the island. A certain man by the name of Bard along with his son Bayne smashed their way out of their house they had lived in for over 16 years via the flimsy roof they had had to reconstruct over 4 times. A 5th street was inflamed by the feared Smaug. Dotted among the are, the crusty, wooden frames of the aged buildings were giving way to the pressure and flames that Smaug produced.

Bayne and Bard reached the summit of the ancient clocktower in the exact centre of the city, prepared to fre volley after volley of arrows at the dragon. The lightweight and immensely sharp arrows took no effect over the Fire-Drake except for enraging the beast even more. Smaug suddenly realized where the non-effecting arrows were being launched from and headed straight for the clocktower, fire stored up ready to take it down. Bard (after firing the last of his useless arrows) noticed a heavy iron, spear-like arrow that his son, Bayne, had tried to hand him earlier lying by his feet. Less than 50 years ago, when Smaug had attacked Laketown last, Bard's now elderly father used 3 out of 4 of the iron arrows to fend off the dragon but failed along with public hatrid and 3 arrows shattered to pieces. Now, it was Bard's turn to finish the almost impossible challenge off. He took his son and used him as a stand to steady the arrow. "You ready son?" Bard asked his boy.
"Ready as ever," he replied in a shaky voice. "Aim for the weak spot by his heart. It is easy to see as it has darkened over time. Father, you have one chance to save us all."
"Right you are Bayne. Now, don't look at it, just look at me. I don't want you to get hurt. I love you!"
his father responded. He fired. It hit. It plunged deep into Smaug's firey heart. And that was the end of him.

Day 33 Lockdown - 49ers

The California Gold Rush

Welcome back! Today, I will tell you a bit about the California gold rush. Enjoy!

The first ever finding of gold in California was by James W. Marshall. As the story goes, in 1848 James was building a sawmill for a friend and business owner when he saw something glimmering in the clear waters that he was near. He and the friend took it to a bank and it was tested for fakery. It turned out that it was 100% pure gold!

Soon, the word got around that California had free gold and it was no longer secret to James and co. People traveled hundreds and even thousands of miles to get to California for the gold and that act later became known as the 'gold rush' because thousands of people rushed to get the gold. At the time few Americans lived there but that changed drastically. They either traveled by boat or through Central America or they took the over-land California Trail in 1849. Those people would then be known as the 49ers.

A way to find gold was to 'pan' for it meaning sinking a deep plate or a shallow bowl into the water, wipe away the dirt and scan for gold. The people panning were also called miners and they required rather a lot of equipment: a mining pan; a shovel; a pickaxe; food supplies. Sellers of that equipment were often richer than the miners who found gold themselves! Wherever riches, gold and silver were found, miners would set up camps. They are all (mostly!) still there today but they are deserted.

Day 32 Lockdown - Tiggi

Tiggi Dog

Welcome!Today, I will tell you all about a very certain animal's very special day. This animal I speak of as, you may know, is my dog and that very special day is her birthday. But not just any normal birthday. This is my dog, Tiggi's, first birthday. Exactly 1 year (in 3 days) has passed since she was born. What a milestone and yet she doesn't know. Let me tell you about her...

When Tiggi aged 8 weeks and 3 days, my family got into our car and drove a little way to Shamley Green (about 20 minutes away). We were very lucky to have the dog breeder live fairly close to us but some unlucky people don't like our next-door neighbours for example who had to drive 3 hours to Birmingham to pick up a smallish dog that would be howling constantly, unless it fell asleep - more on him later!

The weeks building up to getting Tiggi were exciting except we still hadn't settled on a name. We had ideas like Coco or her official kennel club name: Bijou (pronounced bee-zhoo) but we just didn't have it. Then suddenly, a wave came over my mum: Tiggi! We all liked that name so it stuck. What we hadn't realized is that our next-door neighbour's dog was called Ziggy so it was kind of awkward for a few days where we didn't tell next door about her name. I still remember the first day we got her; in fact, I remember the drive home. She sat in the back in a carry case with me, which the previous owners had torn but that came in handy anyway. She was howling and crying in the back until we got home! We invited people round to see her and everything was cool.

Fast forward a couple of days and she is taking her first steps in the garden; her second encounter with it. She was fascinated by the blades of grass and all of my now punctured footballs. She still loves the garden especially my trampoline which we used to pick her up her and put her on but now she can jump on it by herself. It's been a lovely year for my dog Tiggi!

Day 31 Lockdown - Lentils and Rice

Starry Night" by Van Gogh Print – The Original UndergroundLentils and Rice

Welcome all to my blog. Everyone here is welcome and I would love to see any comments that you have. Yesterday, because I missed it, there wasn'ta blog. This is not the first time. I will - if this happens - bring out a double whammy blog. So here we are with that double whammy!

As schoolwork, my school has sent out a small art project to recreate Vincent Van-Gogh's famously known painting called 'Starry Night'. It's so famous, songs have been made out of it! Anyway, I was challenged to recreate it in any way I like. I decided with my mum that I would make it out of food that we have quite a lot of - not fruit! We found that lentils and rice were the best option to make a masterpiece with.

We drew out a chart and then roughly sketched out the outline of the main points the painting has and began gathering my paint or in this case ingredients together and decided what type of food should go where. We took quick, as-we-go-along pictures of what kind of direction I was going in. Before I show you those pictures, I would like to tell you a little bit about the real artist of the real picture: Vincent Van-Gogh. He was born 30 March 1853 in the Netherlands. Vincent was fascinated by the style of impressionism as well as oil pastels and bold colours. He worked in Holland as an art dealer before being transferred to London and becoming depressed. He drifted into illness and solitude before he decided to take up painting to distract him from his pains. Van-Gogh suffered from psyhotic episodes and, although he cared about his mental health, he took no care over his physical image. One day in an angry rage in Belgium, he cut a part of his own left ear! He was again transferred but this time to a psychiatric hospital and on 29th July 1890, he shot himself. He was only 37 when he died.

Onto the pictures!

Day 29 Lockdown - Dad's Isolation Charity Challenge

Dad's Isolation Charity Challenge!

Welcome to my blog!

Today is about a little competition that is being run and played out by my Dad's company Palo Alto Networks. It is to raise money for the NHS by virtually traveling from their headquarters in Santa Clara, U.S.A and back(you can look up the location on the what3words app https://what3words.com/swept.hoot.retain; You may ask what is what 3 words? what3words is a really simple way to talk about location. Each 3m square in the world a unique 3 word address that will never change).

Anyway back to the challenge, I will tell you about the leaderboard they have for the best at certain exercises like rowing or running.

So far, my dad has cycled 139 miles, walked 12 and run 3 miles. As a whole, the UK Palo Alto Networks team has to exercise 5365 miles and there are 68 people participating. There are multiple different leaderboards and my dad is top of 3 currently: Overall; Cycling; Double agents meaning he is the best overall in 2 particular subjects. In cycling, 2nd place is only 2 miles behind! He is going for the record 'first to do 4 exercises and be winning'. Palo Alto Networks have raised £1250 so far which is 23% of the target. They have only been going for a week too! If anyone would like to donate, please go to https://lnkd.in/gCprhrt.

I'm aware that a lot of charities are asking people for assistance, but if you can spare a few coins we'd appreciate this- ;-)

When I say cycling, I mean indoor cycling on a machine called 'Wahoo kickr' turbo trainer in combo with the Zwift App -  which is such a handy contraption to have in this day and age; in fact, top cyclists from the INEOS cycling team (was Team Sky) all around the world have taken part in some of the same races as my dad. My dad cycled alongside world-famous Chris Froome and another 11000 other riders last week:)

Here is me having a go on my dad's bike to keep fit!

Day 28 Lockdown - Fascinating Facts Friday!

charles trippy (@charlestrippy2) | TwitterFascinating Facts

Friday!

Welcome back! Today marks another series start! From now on, every Friday will bring strange facts from my weirdest books including Ripley's Believe it or not. In those books, there are whole sections on strange things such as a person who tried to smuggle 146 iPhones through an airport in Hong Kong. Just wait for even more strange facts. Hope you enjoy!

A youtube star by the name of Charles Trippy has been doing roughly the same as this but on youtube and for much longer than me. In fact, he has not missed a day of film for 3933 days consecutively! He even filmed when he had to go under brain surgery twice. He makes videos on all sorts of things like yesterday, his wife dyed his hair blonde blindfolded. His channel 'Charles & Allie' receives around 300,000 - 400,000 views a video. My book contains a Q & A with him that I would like to share with you from 2017:

Q: What prompted you to make videos?

A: I originally started doing the videos online as a bet with my college roommate to see who got the most viewers, but then I started loving it. It's been 10 years now - 7 years of daily videos and 10 years on youtube.

Q: What would you say is your most unusual video?

A: Filming my brain surgery, just because I actually got to film the whole thing. I held the camera until my arm went down - no tripod. Once my hand went down (I was awake the whole time) the surgeon grabbed the camera because he knew how important it was for me to film, and he started asking me questions. He said my humor was still there and that I was still making fun of things. The fact you can see my brain makes this my most unusual video.

Q: What would you tell people interested in starting a youtube series?

A: Some people think that these daily videos are lies or fabricated, when in fact there's no producer. My friends, family, Allie, my dog - they're all real. It takes dedication, and it's a very stressful, unique type of work because youtube is a community that's never consistent... anyone can do youtube, but it's not for everyone.

Day 27 Lockdown - NHS

Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Oxford Health NHS Foundation TrustNHS

Welcome to my blog! If you are new here, be sure to leave a comment and tell me what subjects I could do. Thanks in advance; enjoy!

Through these tough times, a nice gesture is being made to show our support for health workers throughout the world who are risking their lives to protect ours. Every Thursday (like today) people in the UK, and maybe even other countries too, will go out of their homes to an outside area and give rounds and rounds of applause. This isn't just for the NHS workers though, no it isn't. This is for all people who risk themselves to go to work everyday. As we clapped outside today, an Ocado driver (online food delivery company) got an extra large applause as he passed. Every Thursday more and more people on our street come out and clap their encouragement and it is also such a nice thing to be a part of. The first Thursday we had only about 2 families who came out but the next Thursday it was 3 and the next 4. By today we had 6 families outside clapping. A way to make a larger sound is to find yourself a pot or pan and a metal spoon of some sort and bash them together as loud as you can!

As an extra, a quiz question has come about and I would like to share it with you. Leave your answers in the comments below.

The NHS employs about 2 million people making it the world's 5th largest employer. Suppose I do 1 clap, my neighbour does 2, and the next house does 4, then 8, then 16 and so on, doubling each time. How many households will have to clap until there is 1 clap for every NHS worker?

Remember to leave your answers below!

Day 26 Lockdown - Apollo 13 Disaster

50 Years Since the Crew of Apollo 13 Almost Didn't Make it Back HomeApollo 13

Welcome to day 26 of my blog! This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 incident. Today I will tell you about the "successful failure" (NASA's words) in simple terms. Hope you enjoy!

50 years ago, on 11th April 1970, a NASA rocket was launched into space to go to the moon and land. This was the 3rd time NASA were planning to land on the moon. The 2 rockets beforehand - Apollo 11 and 12 - had successfully made it to the moon with no casualties. However, this was different. Apollo 13 was designed to be the best rocket yet, making it to the moon in the shortest time possible. But something went wrong. Here, today, I will tell you about it.

In Florida, USA, at Kennedy space centre, the rocket Apollo 13 or XIII launched to go to the moon. Because of recent landings in the past, no-one was interested in the launch or mission and no TV companies were streaming it. The crew on board the ship were the astronauts Jim Lovell, Ken Mattingly (who was actually replaced by Jack Swigert before takeoff) and Fred Haise. The crew told ground control or 'Houston', as some may call it, that all services were working as usual and even perfectly. 9 minutes after the message was received, the worst happened; 1 of 2 oxygen tanks exploded. They didn't just help the crew breathe but the tanks were also powering 3 fuel cells and as bad as things could be, the explosion of the first tank damaged the second tank too! The mission to land on the moon was sadly abandoned and the new goal was to get the shuttle with the men safely back to Earth. By now, this had captured the world's attention and a quarter of the world had tuned in live to see if the men would make it back to Earth. Back at Houston, the ground control crew were rushing around to do everything they could to create something to fix the tight situation. They went through everything on the ship that could be sacrificed to prevent the worst from happening. Theories included that the explosion damaged the command module causing the parachutes to fail - the result; death for the astronauts! But that never happened and the rocket-men lived to see another day thanks to the brainy people in Houston. They successfully entered the Earth's atmosphere on 17th April 1970. In 1995, a film was made about the events I just told you about starring Tom Hanks and if you don't know who Tom Hanks is, get on top of that!

Day 25 Lockdown - Mega city

megacity - THE LITERACY SHEDMega city

Welcome!

Today I have chosen to blog about some school work, I have decided to write up a setting description about an advert called Mega city (link below!).

So, here we go; my second piece of school work! Hope you enjoy it!

As the cold wind blew into his furry face, the dog collected all the money that had been dropped for the music skills of the man behind. The wet, cobbled street had a nasty, bitter breeze down it, nipping at civilian feet as they rushed to get somewhere out of the rain. The sounds down the lane were limited to that of the man's guitar that played melodious tunes on those miserable, wet days. A stench of wet dog and the sweet smell of street food combined together, making an unusual aroma rise up and infiltrate the ever-so-slightly agitated people's nostrils, leaving them confused over what could have possibly made such an unique scent. The many city buildings towered over the hurrying people below giving a feint spooky effect.

"Let's see what we got then," mumbled the man, reaching for his tattered old flat-cap.
"We've had a good innings today!" responded the dog while leaping up  and down."Didn't you see how many people passed and donated money?"
"I sure did Timmy, I sure did," replied the man as they speedily cycled away with thunder giving a standing ovation effect.

(You have to imagine the dog can talk; I  know right! Curriculum these days!)

Day 24 Lockdown - Tidy!

Tidy

Welcome back! A few episodes ago, I released a blog on me cleaning out my room full of junk. Today, I  took down my bed and my family and I put up a new one. I hope you enjoy today!

My old bed was raised very close to the ceiling and as I am growing, I was beginning to hit my head against the ceiling. We then set aside today to take it down and build another one that we kept in the attic just in case.

We also went on a run beforehand and we were very sweaty. There is an app going around called 'Couch to 5k'. It is supposed to help people who don't often run build up to run 5k. I helped my mum with my dad and my dog. We ran about 4.5k but we did have to walk  60% of it (part of the app ).

Back to the bed!    Here is a picture of it before...

And here is after! Much better!

Day 22 Lockdown - Games Galore

- Cheba X Purling London Art Chess - Hand Carved Chess Sets ...Games Galore

Welcome to the 22nd blog that I have posted! Today marks the second episode of my daily errands. I hope you enjoy!

I began my day with an hour on my games. I recently downloaded the free game called Team Kirby Clash. It it awesome fun and can be played with the family. I also love to play the well-known game of Fortnite Battle Royale with all my friends from school. It is great to stay in touch.

I then had a wonderful breakfast of homemade pancakes with peanut butter, honey, lemon juice, sugar, syrup and the best blueberries I have ever  tasted. It was delicious! After, I spent another hour on my games ( it is the holidays after all!) and made a start on the blog I missed yesterday - see Day 21 Lockdown. I then had to do some school homework plus some for my online tutor.

I then made contact with the rest of my friends and played all my favourite games with them. My best friend has got a new youtube channel and he would certainly be pleased if you left a like and subscribe to his channel. He will be releasing gaming montages from Roblox. If you like that stuff, I definitely do, check him out at Youtube/Harry Ackermann.

At 4 o'clock, I facetimed my grandad and we had a jolly good game of chess. We helped one another and I came out victorious. Then here I am writing my blog for you. There is my whole day for you. Remember to stay in contact with others!

Day 21 Lockdown - Stuff

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe | Nintendo 3DS download software | Games ...
Stuff

Welcome back to the 21st Lockdown episode! I didn't have time to do it yesterday so I will be doing 2 today. Hope you enjoy!

Today, will tell you about my favourite things to do in lockdown. There are many things that everyone can do for entertainment!

  1.  Playing my games on Nintendo Switch/Xbox
  2.  Jumping on my trampoline. I love doing this especially since we can't go out so often
  3.  Creating music playlists so I can listen to all my favourite songs. Listening to your playlist is great when you have lots of work to do!
  4.  Playing chess with my grandad. We may not be together but we can still play over the internet. It keeps our minds healthy!
  5.  READING! It is just so good! I usually spend 1-2 hours reading a day!
  6.  Playing with my dog, Tiggi. She loves a good run about.
  7.  Baking with my family. As you may know, I have already cooked a apple crumble, and now I have made a lemon drizzle cake. IT IS DELICIOUS!
  8. Playing my piano keyboard. I can play some songs quite well now.
  9. LUNCH!
  10. Chatting to all my friends.
Most of these things you can combine together for even more pleasure. I love to listen to my music while jumping on my trampoline with my dog. There a 3 different things included in that. You could combine any.

Leave a comment and tell me what you like to do now!

Day 20 Lockdown - Falkland war - part 4

Emily Thornberry declines to promise protection of Falkland ...

The Falkland war

Part 4: Last stretch

Finally, I have finished this long blog! It feels like this is endless! Today is the final episode of this mini series. Hope you enjoy!
The 14 hour battle for Goose Green commenced on the night of May 28th. That conflict ended with a decisive British victory with more than 900 Argentine conscription troops who couldn't face death surrendering, proving to be one of the largest mini war surrenders in history.

5,000 British troops from the 5th Infantry Brigade then came to push their country to the capital - Port Stanley if you remember! A series of hard fought battles on and around hills and mountains by the city left Britain almost impossible to defeat. Argentina had to retreat back to Stanley even though their position there was being shelled from offshore cannons on the Royal Navy boats. The S.A.S troops squeezed in on all sides, just like Nazi Germany had done in WWII at Dunkirk.

Utterly surrounded, on 14th June 1982, Argentina surrendered to Britain. The war was over. The Falkland war lasted over 2 months and claimed hundreds of lives. 255 British troops were killed and 775 more wounded. 649 Argentinian men and women had lost their lives and 1,657 more were injured.

Argentina still claim the islands to be theirs, but in 2013, a vote was held to see which country the islands supported. Britain dominated over Argentina, having 1513 votes in their favour to Argentina's 3 (Ha Ha!). 99.8% of the people on the islands voted for Britain. Wow! Oil was also just found near the islands so the Brits won't be giving the Falklands up any time soon!

Day 78 Lockdown - And then there were 2

And then there were 2 Welco me... or shoul d I say goodbye ? This is going to be my second last blog for the sacred onesockdays. Enjoy no...
